The Structure and Role of the Annual Fund
Every independent school has an Annual Fund. It is an essential part of keeping independent schools alive in the modern world.
Each Fall, we launch our “Annual Fund Campaign,” seeking donations to support the programs and needs of the school. We set a target for this campaign, which bridges the gap between tuition and the true cost of educating our students. We strive for 100% participation of all families, because it is that high participation rate that strengthens our case when we work with major donors or local foundations.
Major donors are more supportive, when they see that all of our families are also committed to the cause of supporting Palm Valley as an independent school. Small donations count, and that is one reason we have set up our new Monthly Supporter Club, where you can donate less than a dollar a day, but still help us to reach that 100% participation rate.

Palm Valley Private School occupies 34 acres in Rancho Mirage with stunning mountain views. The campus features separate campuses and buildings for each of our four divisions – Preschool (ages 18 months to 5), Elementary (Grades K-5), Middle School (Grades 6-8), and High School (Grades 9-12), along with a full-size gymnasium, several separate recesses and athletic fields, a black box theater and smart lab.
