PVS Privacy Policy

Palm Valley School (“School”) respects the privacy of our students, families, employees, and visitors to www.pvs.org, its related pages and domains, as well as our social media pages (“Website”). While offering our website users the advantages and convenience of Web-based technologies, we also strive to employ practices that ensure information collected about students, families, employees, and visitors is used conscientiously and appropriately.

This Privacy Policy Statement outlines the use of personally identifiable information collected on the Website. This privacy notice does not encompass any data collection by third parties, such as social media platforms, internet service providers, or other websites referenced by us in print, online, or in e-mail.

Generally, information is used to help us better serve our visitors and prospective families.

• General visitors: We collect information for internal marketing purposes about pages that visitors browse. This information does not contain e-mail addresses.

• Prospective Families: We collect personally identifiable information necessary for record interest in the School and to send follow-up information and marketing materials. For this purpose, we collect and retain names, email addresses, phone numbers, as well as other information relating to the aspects of the School’s services that are relevant to the Prospective Families. 

A "cookie" is a packet of information that a Web server sends to a user's computer to identify that specific user the next time he or she visits the site. Our use of "cookie" technology is restricted to third-party tools such as Meta pixel or Google tags. These tools are governed by their respective owners and any data collected through them is not directly accessible by the School nor is it retained by the School.

Any General Visitor or Prospective Family who does not wish to be contacted by us or an organization with which we might otherwise share contact information, may let us know by sending an e-mail to gkisling@pvs.org or by using the contact information below. General Visitors or Prospective Families may request to opt out of specific e-mail communications from Palm Valley School or request an overall opt-out of both mail and e-mail communications. 

Any Prospective Family that does not wish for the School to retain personally identifiable information that they have submitted may send a request via email to gkisling@pvs.org.

Periodically, we may use collected information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. When our information collection and dissemination practices change, we will post policy changes on this page.
