Weekly Notes from the Head of Upper School, 4/17

Dear Upper School Families,

Congratulations to our Middle and Upper School Chamber Singers.  The Chamber Singers traveled to San Francisco to attend the Festival of Gold, National Invitational Choral Festival. Our singers, led by Mr. Kay, competed with a variety of schools from all over the country, earning a Gold distinction for their superior ratings.  While our delegations are often small, they are mighty and produce results. This past weekend our Junior State of America delegation attended the Spring Convention, where sophomore Elizabeth Shay was elected as the Vice Mayor for the Southern Empire Region. To be elected to a regional position, a student must organize and engage over 200 students from 15 schools. Congratulations Elizabeth and PVS JSA!
