Dear Upper School Families,

Thank you to all of our families for a great school year!  We could not do what we do without the love and support of our entire school community.  Have a wonderful summer!

Attached you will find the graduation information flyer with all of the day of graduation information you need to be prepared.  We encourage all families to join us in celebrating our 5th and 8th-grade Promotions, and our Class of 2019 Graduation. Students who have been selected to carry banners will be notified by email.  Please speak to Ms. Steinman if you have any questions about our ceremony.

Last Day of School Activity
Through the generosity of the Parent Association, Upper School students will be bowling from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm at Palm Springs Lanes on the last day of school, Friday, June 7th. Permission slips have been made available to students at the Upper School front desk. Permission slips must be turned in by Wednesday, June 5. Lunch is included.

Graduation and Promotion
Please join us at our most important school community event of the year!  We will be celebrating the Graduation of the Class of 2019, as well as the promotion of the 8th and 5th-grade classes at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort, 44-600 Indian Wells Ln, Indian Wells at 6 pm on Thursday, June 6th.  To pre-order graduation photos please follow this link:

Senior Spotlight

Amanda Laule

  1. What is your idea of perfect happiness? Being surrounded by family, friends, and my pets.

  2. Which living person do you most admire?  My Gammy and my Father. They are two of the strongest, hardest-working, and kindest people I know.

  3. What is your current state of mind? I am very happy to be done working on applications and I am excited to have more time to hang out with my friends.

  4. What words or phrases do you most overuse? Difficult Difficult Lemon Difficult (The opposite of easy peasy lemon squeezy)

  5. If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, who or what would it be? I would love to be an otter.

  6. Where would you most like to live? Anywhere near the mountains or a nice lake.

  7. What is your most treasured possession?  My Eeyore stuffed animal.

  8. What do you most value in your friends? Compassion and a good sense of humor.

  9. What is your favorite Palm Valley School memory?  Spending my last Scarefest with my friends. We spent the whole night playing games and giggling together because everything was funny at 2 am.

  10. What do you hope to study in college? History and Anthropology

  1. Which living person do you most admire?  Kermit.

  2. What is your current state of mind? Tired.

  3. What is the quality you most admire in a person?  Sentience.

  4. When and where were you most happiest?  When I was sleeping.

  5. What talent would you most like to have? Time management.

  6. What is your most treasured possession?  My Eeyore stuffed animal.

  7. What do you consider your greatest achievement? Applying to college.

  8. What is your favorite Palm Valley School memory?  Senior year advisory class.

  9. If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what would it be?  A shiny rock.

  10. What do you hope to study in college? Studio Art
