Dear Preschool Families, It looks like we are getting into the rhythm! Children are familiar with routines and know what to expect each day. During morning drop-off times, please remember we encourage all families from Crickets to Coyotes, please tell your child goodbye and inform them of your departure. Leaving without notice can cause your child to feel abandonment, and it is terrifying for them to see you there one minute while gone the next. Please be careful during pick up. There is a lot of traffic, and it is easy for children to fall behind or run ahead of you. If you see any unsafe activity, please report to Mrs. Chavez-Rodriguez. Tuesday, 9/26: All School Picture Day Bucket Filling I saw an example of this in the Quail classroom. A child was upset and crying that their parent had left. A classmate came close, stooped down and reached out to the upset child for comfort, and immediately a friendship flourished! We want to avoid “bucket dipping.” Bucket dipping is when we use unkind words, hurt others or do not listen to the teacher.
