Weekly Notes from the Preschool Director, 5/9

Dear Preschool Families,

Last week was an amazing week not only for our students but also for our families. We are thrilled you had the opportunity to see the result of all the hard work your students have been putting into perfecting and performing their dances and songs for you. I am very proud of our Preschoolers and Pre-Kindergarteners!

This week, we start a new monthly theme, Around the World! Some of our classes will be discussing oceans and jungles and others will be expanding on topics such as continents and countries. This is a fantastic theme that our students love and so much fun for the last month of school!

This week is also Teacher Appreciation Week! I want to personally thank all of our wonderful Preschool and Pre-K teachers for all their hard work. Your passion and drive to teach our students does not go unnoticed.

Our Lower School is hosting their 3rd Annual Missoula Theater Production, The Wiz of the West! I encourage all of our families to attend their performance. There are two performances on Saturday, May 12th at 3:00 pm or 5:30 pm. Tickets are $5.00 for students and $10.00 for adults. See Erika in the Lower School office to purchase or purchase at the door the day of the event.

Mark your calendars! Thursday, May 17th at 8:30 am our students along with the Lower School will be performing in the Annual Spring Sing! We have a rehearsal for this performance on Wednesday, May 16th. We ask that you drop off your students by 8:00 am on May 16th and 17th. The Cricket Room will not be performing in this event.

The final deadline to make plastic water bottle donations to Martha's Village is Friday, May 18th. We will have a small Preschool assembly to give our donation to Martha's Village shortly after that date so that all of our students have the chance to see what an impact they have made on our community. Thank you to everyone who has donated this year. We greatly appreciate your participation in this program! We will send out more information once this date is finalized.

This year, Palm Valley School will be putting on their first Flapjacks for Families celebration on Friday, May 25th. This day is to celebrate ALL families in the Palm Valley School community. There will be a pancake breakfast outside of the MS Building starting at 7:30 am, please join us!

Summer Camp and Summer Session are right around the corner. We have now opened a part-time option for both Summer Camp and Summer Session. Please click here to sign up and for more information. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Our 3-week summer program will run June 11th - June 29th and an extended Summer Session will be available July 2nd - August 17th (with the exception of the 4th of July holiday).
