Weekly Notes from the Preschool Director, 4/11

Dear Preschool Families,

Our annual Egg Hunt was a success! It was so much fun seeing the Crickets look for eggs and using their gross motor skills to gather eggs and put them in buckets. The Hummingbirds and Quails had a blast running as fast as they could to pick up the many eggs that were scattered across the Preschool playground. The Coyotes and Jackrabbits did an awesome job searching for eggs with their names on them! This is one of my favorite annual activities and I am thankful to all our Room Parents for helping us prepare for this event and provide healthy treats for our students.

We have a couple of events still left to finish out the school year! Our next Preschool event is the Dance Recital and Art Show on May 4th at 10:30 am. Between now and then we will have multiple rehearsals during the school day. I will be sending out fliers that will have those dates and times listed. Please also note, we will be asking for specific clothing items for costumes depending on your child's class. The Cricket classroom will not be performing in the Dance Recital but will be participating in the Art Show that follows.

Please remember to purchase your yearbooks by April 16th online at ybpay.lifetouch.com - ID code is 12453418. The price of the yearbook is $60. All students will be featured in their individual classrooms. Please make this purchase as soon as possible so you don’t miss out on this keepsake item.

As a reminder, to protect the well being of occupants of a motor vehicle, you must comply with California law regarding unattended children and pets. When you are not present in the vehicle, it is illegal to leave a child under 6 years of age unattended, UNLESS they are supervised by someone at least 12 years old. I understand that leaving children in the car while you run into the buildings to get your other child is convenient but it is against the law.
