Weekly Notes from the Preschool Director, 3/14

Dear Preschool Families,

What a great way to start off our theme of Insects! Our caterpillars are turning into butterflies this week! Each classroom has their own set of caterpillars and ladybugs, so please take a moment to check them out.

I would like to thank all of our families for participating in Student Conferences last week. It is a great way to check in with individual teachers and stay up to date with what is happening with your child and their classroom.

The Scholastic Book Fair is open now until Friday, March 16th. The book fair hours are from 7:30 am-8:20 am and 3:00 pm-3:40 pm. This is a great opportunity to purchase books for your home and also books for your child's classroom.

Grandparents and Special Friends Day is this Friday, March 16th. Our Preschool and Pre-K students will be performing! The Cricket Classroom will not be performing in this event, but we do encourage you to take our youngest students to the performance and participate in our fun classroom craft afterward. Please be aware, your child must be in dress uniform this day.Breakfast will be served starting at 7:30 am outside the Administrative Offices and the performance will begin at 8:30 am in the gym. We invite you and your guests to return to your student’s classroom for a fun craft after the performance. Classes dismiss at noon. Students must be picked up by noon. If you need child care, After-Care will be available for the remainder of the day. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. If your child is being picked up by a Grandparent or Special Friend please make sure they are on the Emergency Contact form in my office. We cannot release your child to someone who is not on this form.

Contracts for the next school year, 2018-2019, have been mailed to you. Please return these as soon as possible. Spaces are filling up for each classroom quickly. We would love to have all of our students back this fall. Please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or Jodi Wiseley (jwiseley@pvs.org) if you have any questions.
