Weekly Notes from the Head of Preschool, 4/17

Dear Preschool Families,

It has cooled off here the last few days, but the heat is still on its way. Please make sure your child has some sort of CLOSED TOE water shoes at school as children tend to be drawn to water play when it is hot.

I am happy to report that the Coin Drive has been extended until the end of the day on Thursday. All of the children in the E-10 building will be attending a special assembly on Friday to see who gets slimed. Please arrive no later than 8 am this Friday so that we can be on time for the assembly!

We will have our egg hunt this Friday as well. All eggs were due today to each classroom.  Please see the handout for more detailed instructions as the format differs slightly from class to class.  Click here for a digital version of the flyers for each class.

Lastly, there will be no pizza served this Friday due to it being an early release day. We will make some time to eat snacks/food at 11:30 am, so feel free to send your child to school with a packed lunch and/or snacks. But just to reiterate, there is a NOON DISMISSAL ON FRIDAY, APRIL 19TH with no After-Care and no pizza. The preschool faculty will be taking time on Friday afternoon to meet and plan together. We are grateful to have this valuable time to work together and make this the best experience possible for your children!

Next week is Spring Break! We will be hosting a mini camp from April 23-26 for all that are interested. The week will be filled with water play, fun in the sun and art projects. Click here to sign up. Please sign up as soon as possible to help us gauge our staffing needs.

Re-enrollment contracts are overdue! I will be contacting all families who have not yet returned their contracts (or let us know that they won’t be returning). Please turn in your contract soon, as some of the classrooms in the Preschool will fill up quickly. Please be advised that after May 1st you are taken off the rosters and are subject to the re-application process and new family fee if you then wish to enroll. If you have a special circumstance and/or any particular questions about the contract please feel free to contact me, Mrs. Rice or the business office to discuss.
