Good Morning Preschool Families,
As many of you have noticed, I have switched up our Distance Learning to review the alphabet before the end of the school year. We will go over a different letter each day and I will provide your child with age-appropriate activities. My goal is to not overwhelm our students with worksheets but to provide additional work so that we can continue our learning at home. Play is still a huge part of our student’s curriculum, I encourage you to have your child play and explore. Ask them open-ended questions and have them solve problems throughout the day.
Friday is the last day that your donations will be matched by The Richard Brooke Foundation for up to $50,000!!! Even if that means turning in your contract and deposit, or taking care of the majority of your tuition in May or June. We recognize that this is a difficult time to ask for donations but with the loss of three Spring fundraising events, please consider a gift today to support PVS students, faculty, and programs that mean so much. Your gift will ensure that our school can continue to thrive in this time of challenge. A big thanks to the Richard Brooke Foundation and those families and community members who have already donated to the school. It is your support in this time of need that will fuel us into a successful next school year. #TogetherWeGive CLICK HERE TO DONATE NOW
During COVID-19, families can choose to support PVS through programs like Box Tops or Amazon Smile. These days, Box Tops for Education is online and digital. Families can download the Box Tops app and scan their receipt(s) within 14 days of purchase to earn cash for our school. Users don't need to know what products are eligible when the receipt is scanned, the app will show the box tops earned at that time and credit the school automatically. If you have questions, our Palm Valley School Box Tops for Education Coordinator is Sarah Dunn, firstname.lastname@example.org. Similar to Box Tops, Amazon Smile is a program that can help support PVS. With families purchasing from Amazon, especially during the pandemic, remembering to conduct their purchases through smile.amazon.com and indicating PVS, a small percent (0.5%) of that purchase will benefit our school. These are small ways to help earn money for our learning community, even during distance learning, and every dollar counts!
We are still missing a few Preschool contracts for the 2020-2021 school year. If you have any questions regarding Financial Aid, please contact Abby Sturgeon at Asturgeon@pvs.org as soon as possible.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly through email. PVS will continue to keep you updated on any school-related information. We have put together a weblink for all COVID-19 updates regarding the school. https://www.pvs.org/
