Weekly Notes from Preschool Director, 3/25

Good morning Preschool Families,

I want to thank all of our families for taking part in our Virtual Spirit Week! Today is Pet Day Wednesday! I personally do not have a pet, but I do have many stuffed animals and will be sharing a photo with my favorite stuffed animal today. I look forward to seeing all of your Virtual Spirit Week photos, today, and throughout the rest of the week. Also, a huge thank you to those who attended Mrs. Rice’s Virtual Coffee with PS/LS Parents. We had a great Preschool turn out and I hope your questions were addressed.

This week’s activities for the Preschool will go along with our ‘Insect Month’ theme. I will be showing more videos through ClassDojo on the update of our ladybugs and butterflies. I will also be showing video footage of me releasing them from home.

I know many of our students are missing their friends. I encourage you to have your child write a letter, share a photo, or even set up Zoom/Google Hangout Meetings so they can still socialize (Zoom/Google Hangout accounts are free to set up). If your child would like to set up a time to virtually speak with me, please let me know so that we can make arrangements.

I’ve had some families contact me asking for the PDF I created with additional activities for your children. Please reach out if you are still interested! This PDF is structured in alphabetical order in case you want to do an activity each day that correlates with a specific letter. Our E9 students typically have one letter of the week and one number of the week. I encourage those parents to introduce letters and numbers throughout the day.
