Weekly Notes from Preschool Director, 2/5

Dear Preschool Families,

As we wrap up our theme of Healthy Bodies, I want to remind parents to please provide a healthy variety of food for your child’s lunches. We have been speaking to our students about the five food groups and what that looks like in each of our lunches. It has been such a fun lunchtime activity. I encourage you to talk to your child at home and let them tell you what food groups are represented at your dinner table.

I also want to remind parents to check their child’s extra clothes bag at school. As the weather changes and our students grow, their clothing must adapt. There have been several occasions where we pull students’ extra clothes and they are not weather appropriate or the correct size. Please remember to write your child’s initials on all items of clothing as well.

If you choose to participate in the Valentine’s exchange, please bring one paper valentine for every student in your child’s classroom. Do not write the names of your child’s classmates on the envelopes for cardsPlease include who the valentine is from. This makes it easier for our students to pass out their own valentines to all their classmates. To make this day fun for all our students, we have found that following this policy works best for Valentine’s cards. The thoughtfulness in the moment and the care of each other as classmates are all the gifts our students need. Our Room Parents will be providing a fun and healthy Valentine's Day snack! If you would like help, please reach out to our Preschool VP, Brianna Jordan, at Briana@brudvikinc.com.
