Dear Preschool Families,
I want to first start off by thanking all the parents that came to the Coffee with Ms. Beach last Friday. We had a great time discussing your children as well as discussing which events are coming up next in the Preschool. As always, it is a pleasure taking time out of the day to have these conversations with our families. I encourage all our parents to contact me if you have any other questions or would like to volunteer for upcoming events.
Safety Day was a hit! Our students enjoyed exploring the police vehicle, motorcycle, ambulance, and firetruck! It is always such a fun event that we do each year and our students look forward to it! Please take time out of your day to ask your child what they saw and learned throughout the many experiences we have provided the last few weeks revolving around community helpers.
Our Hummingbird classroom had a great time making cars and vehicles out of cardboard boxes at home with their families and then sharing their creations on Monday with their classmates. Our hummingbirds were able to sit in their boxed homemade vehicles and watch a short film about transportation as a whole class. We always encourage family involvement with our learning and experiences in the classroom. This great “drive-in movie” activity was introduced by Mrs. Labuen and I am excited to see what other activities she implements throughout the year.
Although we encourage our parents to interact with their children at school and to socialize with other families, we do have an obligation to our students and their safety. Please be aware that if you are bringing in children who are not under our care, you must supervise them at all times. Our faculty and their ratios are dependant on how many students are signed into our care at any given time. I’d like to remind parents that each of our classroom and playground areas is designed for specific age groups and it may not be safe for others to play in those areas.
Our Palm Valley School Spirit Week is next week and we encourage all our students and our faculty to participate each day! I have sent home a flier with what theme is on each day and have also provided it below for your convenience.

Tuesday 10/29- Twin Day
