Eblast from the Preschool Director, 11/8

Preschool Families,

Wow! Thank you to everyone who came to our Family Drive-In Movie last night. I know my family had a blast! I am so proud to be a part of a school that has been creative during this time to get our PVS Community to come together in a safe way. I want to also thank everyone who signed up for our Preschool Fall Festival that is being put on by the Parent Association. We had a limit of 20 families and each spot was filled up extremely quickly.

Masks for Preschool
I want to remind everyone to ensure your child is bringing and wearing a mask each day when they enter our program. We will not force a child to wear them throughout the day but will encourage it at times. It is a Child Care Licensing requirement that students at the very least bring them in each day when they arrive.

School Photos- Make-Up Day
If your child missed our school picture day, please bring them to school tomorrow in their spirit wear. We will be trying to make up all photos on this day. If you have questions, please reach out to me directly.

Extra Clothing in the Classrooms
When your child comes home with soiled clothing, please ensure that you bring them back the next day. We no longer have additional clothing here in our Preschool to supply students with if they do have an accident. Also, our students must come to school wearing socks and athletic shoes daily.

Wacky Wednesdays in the Preschool
Our Lead Teachers within our Preschool came together and wanted to implement a new and fun tradition. We will be having a Wacky Wednesday on the first Wednesday of each month. We celebrated our first Wacky Wednesday this past week when everyone was asked to wear the color BLUE! Our goal is to bring our Preschool classrooms together while still keeping our cohorts separate. Each month will have a different theme. We have come up with themes that are simple that shouldn’t require you to buy additional items for your child each month. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s Lead Teacher.

Fire Drills
Safety is our main priority at PVS.  We practice safety procedures often throughout the school year. This upcoming week, we will be having our first Fire Drill. We are talking to our students about what they should do if the fire alarm does go off. We will be having appropriate discussions with each class and answer any questions they may have.
