Alexandra Palmer Minton was born and raised in the Coachella Valley. She attended Palm Valley School from K to 12th grade, graduating in 2003.
Afterward, she studied at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, where she met her husband, Adam Minton. Alexandra majored in Chemistry and Hispanic Studies and also lived abroad in Córdoba, Spain for a semester, studying at the University of Córdoba (Universidad de Córdoba). She went on to graduate from Boston University School of Medicine with a Master of Arts degree in Medical Anthropology and Cross-cultural Practice.
Alexandra is now employed as a Clinical Project Manager in the Patient-centered Endpoints Center of Excellence at IQVIA. She and her husband relocated from the Boston area to La Quinta in 2016.
Living back in the desert communities, Alexandra has noticed the significant development east of Palm Desert (growing up she recalls rarely traveling further east than the Palm Desert Mall). She especially enjoys the local farmers’ markets. Alexandra also works with her mom, author Alexa Palmer, to manage the children’s nutrition adventure story Jolene: Adventures of a Junk Food Queen.
