Colin Kirkpatrick has deep roots in the Coachella Valley. Mr. Kirkpatrick was born and raised in the desert and attended Palm Valley School from first grade until he received his high school diploma in 2003. Mr. Kirkpatrick received his B.A. in English from the University of California Riverside. He received his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and is a member in good standing of the State Bar of California. While in law school, Mr. Kirkpatrick worked at the California Department of Justice on the Federal Habeas Corpus Team. In that capacity he wrote numerous briefs on a wide range of constitutional issues, including a successful brief to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Kirkpatrick is currently employed by the Law Office of Quintanilla & Associates. He serves as Deputy City Attorney for the cities of Rancho Mirage and Desert Hot Springs and serves as Deputy Counsel to the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau, and numerous non-profit organizations including Rancho Mirage Writers Festival, Palm Springs Modernism Week, and Desert Biennial. Mr. Kirkpatrick is a member of the Desert Bar Association.
