Weekly Notes from the Head of Middle School, 12/20

Dear Middle School Families,

It is a privilege to work alongside such a strong group of teachers and fellow administrators. I am proud of the work I see being done with our amazing Middle School students every day. What makes this possible is the cooperation and support from our PVS Families. I wish every PVS family a safe, happy, and fun holiday break. Our students will need the rest as we only have three more weeks until the end of the first semester and I know they are going to be very busy! Thank you again and have a happy holiday break!

Winter Choir Concert
Today and tomorrow at 7:00 PM in the MPR, you are invited to come and enjoy the Winter Choir Concert as our MS and US Choir Elective and Select Choir Students perform songs of the season. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and can be purchased from here.

Student Drop-Off
Please do not drop off students before 7:30 AM. Supervision is not provided for students who are here before 7:30 am, so please help us in ensuring that every student is safe on campus. Thank you.

Pajama Day
It is Pajama Day on Friday! This is not a free dress day for students that choose not to participate. If a student is not participating, the normal uniform is required.

Half Day on Friday
This Friday the students will be dismissed at 12:25 PM. After-Care will not be provided so please make arrangements for your child to be picked up on time.

8th Grade Trip to FIND Food Bank
On January 18, 2018 from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, our 8th graders will be traveling to the FIND Food Bank in Indio. Students will depart from PVS at 8:30 AM and return by 11:30 AM. As part of this wonderful opportunity, students will take a tour of the facility, pack, separate and prepare items for delivery, and learn about all the good they bring to so many families across the valley. I would like to thank 8th Grade families in advance for your willingness to participate alongside the students and help us transport our students to their location and back. Permission slips have gone home with the students. Please sign and return them by January 12, 2018.

Service Learning Trip - New Orleans
For all of our families participating in the New Orleans Service Learning and Cultural Education trip in February, Global Works will be contacting you regarding settling any payments prior to the trip. This is a time-sensitive issue so please contact Global Works if you have any questions about payment. They are more than willing to answer any questions and work with you to ensure all of our students are able to take part in this fantastic opportunity. The success of this trip is dependent on the number of students and families that have committed to participate. Your attention to this is greatly appreciated.
