Dear Middle School Families,
Happy Halloween! Tomorrow, our middle school students will participate in a little role-reversal activity. They will be taking their PS, PK and Kindergarten buddies on a costume parade down the Fire Walk and then off to Trick-or-Treat through the Middle School and Upper School Buildings. I’m not sure which group is more excited - the MS students or their little buddies! Please feel free to join in the festivities tomorrow morning; it is everyone’s favorite Buddy activity. Have a wonderful and safe Halloween!
Our Annual Fall Festival is coming up on Saturday, November 2nd. The Parent Association has been hard at work to ensure it's the best one yet! Join us for games, rides, face painting, a petting zoo, food, crafts and more from 3 pm - 6 pm in the lower school field. We’ve also added new activities this year, including a gaming truck, a laser tag course and an interactive photo mirror (just to name a few). There really is something for ALL ages! Admission is free and you can purchase tickets for the games and activities at the event that day. This event is open to the public. If you are able to volunteer, please click on the link below.
Additionally, if you can donate something to our Bake Sale or provide some of the other items that we need for the festival, we would greatly appreciate your contribution:
This fall, the Palm Valley Middle School Drama class of thirteen 7th and 8th-grade actors has taken on a challenging piece of theater to stage for the community. In the award-winning play by Reginald Rose called 12 ANGRY JURORS, a dozen very different personalities are sequestered to deliberate the fate of a young man accused of murder. In a two-act, 90-minute drama, beliefs clash and emotions rise as four men and eight women argue the guilt or innocence of the accused. Performances are: Friday, November 8, Saturday, November 9 and Friday, November 15 at 7:30 pm. There is a matinee performance on Sunday, November 10, in the afternoon at 2:30 pm. Tickets available online here.
Veterans Day Celebration
You are invited to join us at a special assembly on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11th at 8:30 am in our gym. This event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP here.
Dress uniform is required.
Each year, the Palm Valley School community contributes to enhancing the education of our Firebirds through the Annual Fund. There is always a 100% participation from members of the Board of Trustees and from PVS staff members showing their Firebird pride. This annual fund is important to our students and families at Palm Valley. Please remember to submit your contribution or gift in kind. Please click on the link to give today!
The spirit store will not be opening on Thursday or operating the pop up booth on Friday morning of this week. There will be a booth set up during the Fall Festival with new jacket arrivals, t-shirts, hats and visors as well as a selection of clearance items.
Palm Valley School Secret Garden Gala
This year, our gala will be held at the Westin Mission Hills on the evening of Saturday, February 8th. This "Secret Garden" is shaping up to be a lovely, beautiful event that you will not want to miss! We are in the process of securing items for the auction and we need your help! If you have a business or connection that you think might be great for a donation to make our event a success - please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Additionally, we have sold out tickets for this event for the last couple of years and anticipate this year will be no different! Please log on today and secure your ticket or table today!
