Dear Middle School Families,
When I look back at my 27 years as an educator, I am rewarded with heartwarming and joyous memories. Working as a teacher involves so much more than making sure you cover and teach everything in your curriculum over the course of the year. That is important work, but so much more important and rewarding are the connections and relationships you build with your students. The time I have spent with your children has been a gift for me. They have inspired me, enlightened me, accepted me and have made me proud. I can only hope that they have learned as much from me as I have from them. Thank you for your trust, support and friendship. Wishing you a relaxing and safe summer!
Palm Valley is working with the Refugee Health Alliance to help children at the border. They are in desperate need of Spring and Summer clothing, especially sizes infant to 3T. Please drop off any donations to the Middle School front office. (The drive ends on June 1st.)
Last Day of School
Thursday, June 3rd is the last day of school and is a minimum day. Students that day will begin with their End of Year Awards ceremony, followed by a final Nest competition. Once we’ve determined the Best of the Nest, we will enjoy a special lunch of pizza and Ben and Jerry’s ice cream provided by our amazing Parent Association. Students will be dismissed at 12:45p.m.
Grade 8 Promotion
We will be celebrating the 8th graders in a promotion ceremony on Thursday, June 3rd at 5pm in the Gym. Attendance is only for immediate family members. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Please note: 8th graders should arrive and gather in the MPR no later than 4:45pm.
Yearbooks are still available and must be purchased in the MS office. The cost is $70. Fewer than 30 yearbooks remain, so get yours before they are sold out!
