Dear Families,
Have your children been sharing all of the great things that are happening in their classrooms? The Lower School is abuzz with activity, and it has only been a few weeks since the first day!
Yesterday, the students had their 2017- 2018 school photographs taken. Today, several classes had a field trip to the McCallum Theater. Students looked great in their new dress uniforms. Thanks to all families who adhered to the new dress uniform policy. Students who did not have their photos taken because they were out of uniform will be able to make them up on Tuesday, October 3. All backorders have now been shipped and plenty of ties are back in stock! Remember, shorts are not part of the dress uniform. Also, all must be purchased through Norman’s uniforms, no exceptions.
The first scheduled Grade Level Coffee was today. These are held at 8:05 in room E4-4. The others are scheduled as follows: First Grade: Thursday, September 28th, Second Grade: Thursday, October 5th, Third Grade: Tuesday, October 10th, Fourth Grade: Wednesday, October 11th, Fifth Grade: Thursday, October 12th.

This is just a few of the great things that are happening at PVS. I encourage you to check the school calendar via the website for details and planning.
Many parents have me asked to suggest apps, computer programs, and novels. I refer them to a wonderful resource- CommonSense Media https://www.commonsense.
As always, please feel free to reach out to your child's teacher or me if you have any questions or concerns.
Regards,
Mrs. Fisher
