“Being grateful does not mean that everything is necessarily good. It just means that you can accept it as a gift.” -Roy T. Bennett
Dear Lower School Families,
This quote is an excellent summation of the Growth Mindset we hope all of our students will develop. Simply put, a growth mindset is the belief that we can learn needed and new skills at any time, and that perseverance and hard work can help accomplish goals. Our teachers help students see that mistakes are expected, inspected and respected. Therefore, failures can be viewed as gifts and opportunities. This article has some valuable information and a video that you can show your students to encourage them in their journey to develop a Growth Mindset.
