Weekly Notes from the Head of Lower School, 11/6

Dear Lower School Families,

The first quarter of the 2019-2020 year has gone by quickly, and it has been an exciting time. The holidays will be upon us before we know it! For the Fisher household, this means it is a time to celebrate some family traditions. Palm Valley has some great traditions, too. One of those, of which I am most proud, is our annual Veterans' Day Assembly on Monday, November 11th at 8:30 am in the Gym. It is always a moving experience as our school community gathers to honor all of those who have served and are serving our country. Dress Uniform is required for all students.

We now have four new students in the Lower School - Tobias in Kindergarten, Addison in Third Grade, Gaya in Fourth Grade, and Alexya in Fifth Grade. Please join me in welcoming them and their families to the PVS Community!

November is Native American Heritage Month. We are looking forward to having a special presentation from one of our local tribes on Thursday, November 7th at 2:15 pm in the Lower School amphitheater.

As you prepare for the Thanksgiving Break, November 25th - 29th, please be aware that we will have mini-camps available Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday that week. We ask that you sign up in advance so we can ensure we have adequate staffing and supplied for all the activities planned: link

Be sure to click here for the First Quarter Specialist Newsletter. You'll see what Lower School students are doing in music and the other specialist classes. Link

Thank you, again, to Mr. Ethan Kaminsky for filming the Lower School production of Space School: The Musical. You can access it via this link: link
