Message from Firebirds Athletics, 10/11

Dear Firebirds,

Our Senior Night celebration for the Upper School Volleyball team will be held on Thursday, October 17th, starting at 5:45 PM, before our final home game against Grove School. Upper School Volleyball has notched four big wins this season and has shown great improvement under Coach Knight. We would like to see the entire Palm Valley community attend, enjoy the game and help honor our hard-working senior athletes on that evening.

The Fall Sports season is coming to an end for Upper School and is in full swing for the Middle/Lower School. Upper School Cross Country has been working hard under Coach Killeen, and will compete in the League Finals on October 31st  in Riverside.

Middle School fall sports have been impressive during the month of October. The Cross Country team, led by Chloe Elbaz and Lily Neal, has produced some great times for Coach Tim Rice. They will also compete in League Finals on October 31st in Riverside.

The middle school volleyball teams have been having fun and winning games this season. Coaches Kisling and Straky have the A and B teams playing at a high level, and they are looking like solid contenders for the league title.

Middle School Flag Football is back this year with some great athletes competing for the team in grades 6-8. The team defeated Desert Chapel 28-0 last week and will take on Sacred Heart this week.

Middle and Upper School Fall Sports Awards Night will be held on Thursday, November 14 starting at 6:00 PM in the Palm Valley Gym. More information will be given out for that event soon.
