“What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” ― Jane Goodall
Dear Palm Valley Families,
We have just a few tickets left for our Palm Valley Night at Fashion Week. Join us for a silent auction, drinks, photos and more - all to benefit Palm Valley School. Each year, we have a reserved section of seating for Palm Valley families at a designated night of Fashion Week. We sponsor a "before party" to host our families and their guests to have a drink, bid on some items, and have a little fun before the show begins. If you have not purchased a ticket and want to attend this great event you can purchase tickets here.
Please don't miss it!
A HUGE thank you to all the students in the Lower School who asked for sponsors in their recent Read-A-Thon! Our students and their pledges earned a whopping $4200 this year! I am so incredibly proud of our students and their fearless leader, Mrs. Francene Fisher. This money will be contributed to our Annual Fund that directly benefits students in purchasing materials, and supporting programs that they love. Way to go, Lower School!
Lastly, it is with great personal sadness that I announce the departure of our CFO/Business Manager, Jodi Wiseley. Jodi has been with the Palm Valley School for the last three years. She has been a devoted member of our Staff and an integral part of many programs and aspects of our community. Jodi has been so much more than a CFO/Business Manager, always going above and beyond to support teachers, administrators, events - you name it, she's done it. She and her husband are relocating to San Diego where Jodi has taken an administrative position at UC San Diego. Our loss is their gain. She has impacted us all and made such a difference in these past few years at Palm Valley. We will miss her dearly and wish her all the best in her future endeavors. A search has already begun for her replacement, and we will keep you posted. Thank you for all your work at Palm Valley School, Jodi!
Make it a great week, Firebirds! Thanks for all you do!
Warmly,
Susan Rice
Head of School
