Dear Palm Valley Community,
I hope that this weekly letter finds you and your family in good health. While yesterday was the unofficial start of summer, it was also an opportunity for us all to remember the many sacrifices that the members of our armed forces have endured to safeguard our freedom. This is especially significant as local businesses are slowly reopening and reminding us of the freedoms that we enjoy. For those of you in our school community that have served in our armed forces in any capacity, we’d like to say thank you for your commitment and sacrifice!
During this time of social distancing and increased health protocols, I have missed the ability to connect with many of you. In response, I would like to host a Virtual Coffee Chat this Thursday, May 28th at 9:00 am. Please send me an email (firstname.lastname@example.org), if you will be attending and I look forward to seeing you on screen!
Many of you have been asking me about our plans for the reopening of school. Please know that we are working on creating a more detailed plan that I will share with you on Monday, June 8th. While they must include a measure of flexibility to include the ability to pivot should circumstances change, we are forming plans to maximize healthy protocols while still delivering an exceptional learning experience for your child. Yes, some things will be different, but our commitment to an individualized learning experience that both challenges and nurtures your child remains our aim.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the many families that have already turned in their enrollment contracts for next year. We appreciate and value the trust that you have placed in us to educate and nurture your children, especially on the heels of the global pandemic.
It is my plan to continue sending you weekly insights through June 29th. As a new Head of School accepting the reins amidst the uncertainty of COVID 19, these help me to remain grounded, focused, and connected to you…. my school family. As we head into the final week of this very unique school year, I am wishing for you and all of our families a healthy and restful start to summer.
As always, I remain available to connect via email (email@example.com), phone or if you’d like, feel free to schedule a “socially distanced” meeting by contacting Sarai Jimenez (firstname.lastname@example.org). I would enjoy spending some time getting to know you.
