ATHLETIC PHILOSOPHY

Palm Valley School is where student-athletes shine! Our Firebirds are Students first, and Athletes second. All PVS students have the opportunity to participate in organized sports offered at both the Middle School and Upper School levels. Our teams compete against other private and public schools for league championships on a seasonal basis.

Athletic Administration: Jack Makkai  (US Athletic Director), Richard Zinman (MS Athletic Director), and Tasha Romo (Assistant Athletic Director)

Academic excellence is a hallmark at PVS. A prerequisite for all student-athletes is to maintain their rigorous academic schedule at the highest level. The development of core academic skills and excellent work habits carries directly over to participation as a member of our sports teams.

At the Upper School level, we are members of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF), which is the governing body of high school athletics throughout the state. Most of our high school teams compete through our league affiliation with the Majestic League. Teams offered in Upper School: Baseball, Boys' Basketball, Girls' Basketball, Cross-Country, 8-Man Football, Golf, Softball, Soccer, Tennis, Track, Boys' and Girls' Volleyball.

MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM

Our middle school students are kept busy every fall, winter and spring with competition in the Desert Private Middle School League. Teams and sports offered in Middle School: Boys' Basketball, Girls' Basketball, Cross-Country, Flag Football, Soccer, Girls' Volleyball, and Gymnastics.
